On the occasion of World Health Day, the Rotary Club of Mahad organized a Grand Saree Walkathon to symbolize the importance of health, under the motto "Walk for Health." The event received an enthusiastic response from the people of Mahad, with women of all age groups participating in large numbers. Participants ranged in age from 20 to 75 years old, including the Annets of Rotary Club of Mahad. The walkathon not only encouraged physical activity but also served as a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage. The colorful sarees added a festive touch, making the event visually striking and culturally significant. The Rotary Club of Mahad has a strong focus on addressing health-related issues, and this event was no exception. The highlight of the walkathon was the wide age range of participants, demonstrating that health and fitness are important at every stage of life. Following the walkathon, the event concluded with a lively Zumba session, which served as the cherry on top. The energetic session was met with great enthusiasm, and the women wholeheartedly enjoyed it, adding a fun and dynamic element to the day's activities. To recognize the efforts of the participants, exciting prizes were awarded to three winners from each age group, celebrating their commitment and spirit. Additionally, every participant received a certificate of participation, acknowledging their involvement and contribution to the event. The participants expressed their appreciation for the Rotary Club of Mahad, applauding the organization for arranging such an enjoyable and impactful walkathon.
